Burdekin Plum (Pleiogynium timorense), also known as Sweet Plum or Wild Mango, is a stunning native Australian rainforest tree that produces delicious tart, tangy fruits. The flavour is distinctive - reminiscent of plum with hints of mango and a lovely citrus tang that makes it perfect for jams, chutneys, sauces, and even enjoyed fresh when fully ripe.

This beautiful aussie native can grow into a medium-sized tree (up to 15-20m in ideal conditions, but easily maintained smaller in gardens) with attractive glossy compound leaves. The tree produces clusters of small purple-red fruits that have been used as traditional bush food by Indigenous Australians for thousands of years. The fruit is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants.

Burdekin Plum thrives in full sun to part shade and prefers well-drained soil with regular moisture, though it's quite drought-tolerant once established. It's a fantastic addition to any native garden or food forest, and the fruits attract native birds and wildlife. Can be grown in subtropical to tropical climates, and does well in coastal areas.

Comes in different sizes - check options for availability.
